Abstract: Characteristics of temperature, carbon monoxide, spatial and temporal distribution of urban heat island and its relationship with land use change are very important tool for urban planning in the changing climate. In Megacities, there are needs to develop heat vulnerability index and hot spot maps which would be a good toolkit for urban planning, environmental management and other decision/policy making in creating a climate smart city in the future.
